In February, I embarked on a new business venture. I began creating marketing courses for Udemy. On April 1st, I published my first course, How to Market Yourself as a Coach or Consultant, not really knowing what to expect. To be honest, I hadn’t had a lot of luck selling video training courses in the past. However, I saw Udemy as a way to reach and serve more people, and so I took it and hoped for the best. Well, that, and I committed myself to marketing my course, creating additional courses, and letting Udemy market my courses for me (sometimes at significant discounts). In other words, I went all in.
I’m so happy to report that in just 6 months my course is now #1
My exuberance is less about being number one, and more about the fact that I’m reaching so many people and teaching them how to market their coaching and consulting businesses the right way. Also, being number one puts my course on the Udemy home page for marketing courses, which helps people searching for marketing courses find mine, a BIG plus!
