The Real Key To Building a Successful Business

You have a dream to start your own business. You want to live your purpose. Pursue your passion. Do what you love. Make a difference in the world.

That’s awesome.

Unfortunately it’s not enough to build a successful business around.

At the risk of sounding insensitive or harsh, I have some breaking news for you. Please pay attention. Don’t take it personally. It’s not about you or your dream. But if you disregard it, it can most certainly dash your dream, and I don’t want that to happen.

The world does not care about your passion. It doesn’t care that you love what you do. It doesn’t care that you’ve finally found your purpose.

That’s the reality.

What does the world care about?

And when I say “the world” I mean the audience of potential clients or customers for your business. The people who will be willing to pay you money so you get to live your dream, pursue your passion, and fulfill your purpose.

They care about what it does for them.

They care about how your business can help them, make their life better, happier, richer… yes, it’s all about them.

People will not whip out their wallets and give you money just because you’ve found your calling.

They WILL whip them out when you find a way to match that calling with a compelling need or desire they have. When you convince them you can solve their problem or eliminate their pain.

Quite frankly, the world doesn’t need another life coach, wellness coach, business coach, financial consultant (you can pretty much fill in ANY job title).

What the world DOES need are people who have identified a need in the marketplace and have figured out how they can uniquely fill that need in a new, more effective, faster, or more desirable way than anyone or anything else that’s currently available.

When you can do that, not only will your dream flourish, you’ll serve yourself along with many, many others.
