What We Can Learn About Happiness From Dogs

This morning my daughter shared a story she found online about a family having to put down their dog, and their six-year-old son’s calm perspective about the situation. I don’t know if the story is true, but the words in it sure ring true. My favorite quote from the story comes from the six-year-old and carries great wisdom:

“People are born so they can learn how to live a good life – like loving everybody all the time and being nice, right?  Well dogs already know how to do that, so they don’t have to stay as long.”
