When’s the last time you “wowed” your clients? You know, delivered something over the top? Gave them something they weren’t expecting? Did anything that made them say “WOW!”
Last Friday I was “wowed” several times and it reminded me of how powerful doing the little extras for our clients can be.
One was a free gift that was totally unexpected, and the other was a big unexpected discount and a free gift (I walked out feeling like I’d won the lottery!)
Now, you don’t have to discount (I’m actually not a big fan of it in the personal service industry because it can undervalue your services)…there are plenty of ways to wow your clients.
- Give them an extra “unadvertised” bonus after they sign up for your list, or purchase your program or services.
- Send them a handwritten thank you card (NOT a mass email!).
- Send them a gift (great for your longer term coaching or consulting clients)
- Send them a note recognizing their efforts and achievement.
Those are just a few ideas (and things I’ve done and will continue to do for my clients)…feel free to be creative and come up with your own.
Wowing your clients is just another way you can stand out from the crowd.
It’s just another way to get people talking about you and your services. It’s a great way to generate positive word-of-mouth and referrals. And, it’s great for client retention and customer loyalty.
Yes, there may be an investment involved, but it’s a long-term business strategy.
It’s called relationship marketing and in my opinion, it’s worth it’s weight in gold.
The two companies that wowed me on Friday will be keeping my business for sure. In fact, they’ll very likely get more of it!
