A Life-Changing Aha

Living Inspired Guest Post, by Michelle Hazlewood.

I used to be a very organized, goal oriented individual.

I had my month, year, 5 year, 10 year plans and longer, as well as the steps needed each day to MAKE them happen.

Years ago I got an inspired download – that is the only way I can explain the information that came pouring through. I got a myriad of details, almost a business plan, for a Tropical Spa Retreat. So my life gradually turned, from the rigid plan I’d set for myself, to pursuing this new “mission.”

This sent my life off in completely new directions that I could never have imagined. I don’t know if the Tropical Spa Retreat will ever become a reality in this lifetime. Perhaps it was simply a catalyst for shifting the way I live my life.

I am so much more in peace, love and trust. My way of living fully one day at a time has taken me to more countries, and assisted more folks, in ways I never dreamed of.

  1. My favorite part of Michelle’s story in the last part: “I don’t know if the Tropical Spa Retreat will ever become a reality in this lifetime. Perhaps it was simply a catalyst for shifting the way I live my life.”

So often we get attached to our goals or expected outcomes, and when they don’t materialize we’re disappointed or frustrated. Even when you’re following inspiration, it’s important not to get too attached. Because sometimes the inspired ideas are exactly as Michelle says… they’re a catalyst to shift our path or perspective. Michelle has reaped great benefits from following her inspired idea. And that’s what matters.

In my experience, if we can stop focusing so much on where we’re headed, and instead choose to make the most of where we are, we find the peace and gratitude Michelle is talking about.

  2. Delightful and accurate reflections Debbie! I still set goals and put out requests to the Universe. The big thing now is what I add after EVERY one…..”this, or something better, that is for the highest good of all!” This way I always “win”. Either I reach my goal/get what I ask for, or I know if wasn’t for the highest good and/or something better is happening 🙂
Love and Bright Blessings to You and All Your Readers ~ Michelle
P.S. Thank You Debbie for being such an inspiration to us all!!
