There’s a common phrase among entrepreneurs and service professionals: Bright Shiny Object Syndrome. You know you’re suffering from it when you find yourself constantly flitting from one project to another, quickly chasing new idea after new idea, or even starting new businesses before you’ve gotten your existing business established. The distraction caused by Bright Shiny Object Syndrome can destroy your coaching or consulting business. The lack of focus can be extremely detrimental. In this episode I talk about the importance of practicing Sequential Serial Entrepreneurship instead of Simultaneous Serial Entrepreneurship. And not just for new business ideas, but also for new program, product, or service ideas as well. There’s nothing wrong with having a lot of business ideas and wanting to do them all. But you must practice focus if you want to succeed.
