Change is hard because it very often requires us to let go of who we are, in order to become who we want to be.
Our fear of the unknown, and our affinity for what’s comfortable and predictable, makes change feel scary.
However, when you start living inspired, and you set an intention for the life you truly want to live, you must be ready to embrace change.
After all, you’ve invited it in.
And, it’s required to deliver you what you truly desire.
So don’t back away.
Don’t retreat to the safety of your current existence.
Step forward bravely into the unknown.
Embrace that unknowing with curiosity and wonder, instead of fear and trepidation.
Because your new life awaits.
If you’re willing to step into it.
I write about resistance in my book, The Following Inspiration Experiment. It’s one of the things that prevents us from living inspired, and manifesting the life we truly desire. It’s common to resist change. I still find myself doing it sometimes, and that’s after 10 years of practicing following inspiration! The important thing is to be aware that’s what you’re doing. Often just recognizing that you’re resisting change, because of the fear of uncertainty it brings up, is enough to help you move through it.
